E-40 & Too $hort Reveal “The History Channel” Release Date (August 2012)

E-40 and Too $hort’s joint album The History Channel has been years in the making but the Bay Area legends have finally decided on a release date for the same — November 6th – which they revealed in this photo taken from their studio session with veteran producer Rick Rock. They will be releasing two albums on the same day titled The History Channel: Function Music described as music for the new era and The History Channel: Mob Music which will have an old school feel. Chris Lighty Has Died At The Age Of 44 – Suicide Is Rumored To Be The Cause Of Death (New Report August 2012)

Chris Lighty is dead, according to multiple sources. The Hip-Hop manager, who managed artists like 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott, LL Cool J, Mariah Carey, Diggy Simmons and numerous others. According to The New York Daily News, Lighty put a gun to his head and shot himself, after an argument with his ex-wife Veronica, inside of his Bronx apartment. A slew of condolences have hit Twitter and other social networks. Lighty was a staple in Hip-Hop and managed acts like Mariah Carey, Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip, Missy Elliott, and 50 Cent. He was also a member of Boogie Down Productions.

Big Boi is swimming in women in the risqué video for “She Said OK” featuring Theophilus London. The OutKast member can’t wipe the smile off his face as he lounges around in a house full of honeys. “The song has a lot of expletive lyrics to it that portray the male in a domineering light”, said director Alexi Papalexopoulos. “In this video, I thought it would be cool to juxtapose that ideology by having the female in a domineering role and our rappers, our men, in a submissive role.” Big Boi’s sophomore album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors is due
