Before the actual fireworks went off, Lauryn Hill lit up the stage with a surprise set at The Roots’ 4th of July Jam in Philadelphia on Wednesday. The Fugees front-woman, who recently plead guilty to tax evasion, worked up a sweat as she performed her hits including “Doo Wop (That Thing)” and “Ex-Factor” in a short white dress with red and python platform heels. Common, Queen Latifah, and Joe Jonas were also on the bill.
