As some of you might know, R&B singer Frank Ocean confessed to being gay a few days ago. If that’s a publicity stunt or not, I don’t really care as I am not a fan of him or any of the OFGWTA dudes. Anyway, the mainstream people obviously jumped on the band wagon and their response was positive (if it was not, they would automatically be “haters”, right? ehhh). You can count West Coast rapper Xzbit as one of those who won’t be working with Frank anytime soon.
X to the Z is about to drop his new album Napalm. As reported by TI50, when asked by a fan if he planned on working with Frank, X replied “pause.”
The use of the word “pause” is slang to negate the homosexual connotation of a comment.
Another one of the rapper’s followers saw his reply and got angry.
Unfazed, the “Front 2 Back” MC said he wouldn’t apologize for anything he says on his own timeline.
In my honest opinion, Xzibit did nothing wrong, it’s not like he picked on that Frank Ocean dude all of a sudden for no reason. He got asked a question and he made it clear he does not endorse that gay stuff. It’s his right. I have nothing against homosexual people but I don’t agree with it and Xzibit is on the same level it seems.
You want to be gay? Fine, keep that to yourself, don’t go out in the streets, make a parade or expect to get a trophy just because you want everyone to know you f*ck another dude.
Well said X.
